MADERA WOOD BOWLS

These bowls have many different functions and sizes:
Bowls, Acorns, Sushi Trays, Ikebana Vases, Vessels,
Wine Glasses and fun Wood Art Sculptures

Madera Exotic Wood Bowls began in 1996 when I was looking for something to do in my retirement.  I had been a full-time builder of both homes and commercial structures, but the economy basically tanked and hence I was trying to find something to do in my shop.  When a friend mentioned "turning" I knew that was it.  So I started "building" bowls out of small pieces of wood that had accumulated in the shop for many years.  Soon I had a rhythm and was having fun making different things that were all nice to look at and functional for household use.  Please take a look and see what you think.

Ikebana flower holders can be made in many different woods. Some have two or more woods and/or accents, such as seashells or metals. A new pin frog is included in the purchase of any Ikebana.

Multiple small bowls can be requested to accompany any large salad bowl.

Acorns can be made of many different woods. These both have walnut bowls, but the lids are different: on the left is poplar and on the right is mahogany. Both stems are made from wenge.
