The design of this bowl is a thin ring of bloodwood, outlining blocks of zebrawood that have a center stripe of poplar (that pretty green in the middle.) The base and the lid are both maple. The lid's handle is a seashell.
(Remember to use wooden salad tongs - not metal that may scratch the wood.)
